  • October 2006:   The 2006 Meeting information page has been updated. The program has been finalized and can be downloaded.

  • September 2006:   online abstract submission for the 10 Years STS - Anniversary Meeting 2006 has been activated. The online hotel reservation is not yet available.

  • August 2006:   The STS Database System and web interface for online registration for the 10 Years STS - Anniversary Meeting 2006 is finally online and has been running in "stealth mode" since. Some functions such as abstract submission and hotel reservation are not yet available. We will inform all who register for the meeting upon activation of these features.

  • June 2006:   The STS Database System and web interface for online registration is undergoing a major overhaul and is therefore currently not available. We currently plan a step-by-step activation of the new system, starting around 2006-07-03 2006-07-21 2006-07-27. The first visible step will be the implementation of Online-Registration for the 10 Years STS - Anniversary Meeting 2006.

  • June 2005:   The web interface for online registration, abstract submission and hotel reservation for the 2005 STS Meeting has been activated.

  • January 2005:   The New Year has begun with database maintainance. Please have a look if your details are in need of an update as well. To do so, please login via the web interface. In case you forgot your login information, fear not! If you remember the username, you can have a new pasword set automatically, otherwise please send a mail to w3@sigtrans.de with your first and last name. Also worth noticing: If you update your email address, your subscription to the mailing list will be updated automatically.

  • April 2004:   The web interface for online registration, abstract submission and hotel reservation for the 2004 STS Meeting has been activated. Due to the somewhat early start of proceedings this year the "old" system will be used once more while development of the improved version continues in parallel. Depending on the progress of development and the number of registrations and abstract submissions an on-the-fly switch to the new system may occur at any time. Should this happen, all data processed up to that point will be migrated into the new system.

  • January 2004:   Again a long time with no visible updates since the last entry. And again, the most changes have been made to the web interface. Processing of the 2003 meeting registrations and abstract submission was handled by the website software without major problems. The new version that is scheduled to be deployed for the 2004 meeting has been beta- (or rather gamma-) tested in 2003 by the participants of the FZI meeting. The 2004-release for the STS site will focus on improving usability and post-processing capabilities.

  • November 2002:   Well, it has been a long time with no visible updates in this section. However, the web interface developed last year (and updated constantly ever since) for handling membership data, meeting registration, abstract submission and so on has proven to work even better for this years meeting. Right now website administration is working on a few things that have been in the pipeline: Online polling and an automated system for open positions, to name but a few.

  • 09.05.2001:   The new web interface for registration, abstract submission and hotel reservation is available. Please read the introductory information!

  • 17.04.2001:   Preparations for the 5th STS Meeting: Signal Transduction - Receptors, Mediators and Genes 2001 have proceeded to a stage that first information is available. The Meeting Venue has been selected and you are invited to share your thoughts on which additional topics should be in the linsting for workshops and talks. The web interface for registration, abstract submission and hotel reservation, however, has been delay quite a bit. We are working on it.

  • 02.10.2000:   Millenium Meeting: Signal Transduction - Receptors, Mediators and Genes 2000. The program is now available on-line with detailed listings of the sessions, posters and sponsors. Also, note that the agenda for the General Assembly of the STS has been posted. The protocol of the General Assembly 1999 is available on-line as well (german only, access restricted to STS members, in german).

  • 14.08.2000:    The upcoming journal Signal Transduction - Receptors, Mediators and Genes (published by WILEY-VCH) is the Official Journal of the Signal Transduction Society.

  • 28.07.2000:    Es hat uns ein Call for Papers des GIT Verlags erreicht, den wir hier gerne veröffentlichen.

  • 21.07.2000:    Several new downloads are available, including the Meeting Poster and a flyer with information on new a interdisciplinary scientific journal: Signal Transduction - Receptors, Mediators and Genes.

  • 19.04.2000:    Information on the Millenium Meeting, the Frühjahrstagung 2001 in Innsbruck and the Baltic Summer School 2000 will be published in the Immunologische Nachrichten 02/00. Read the excerpt on the STS website in the DGfI Study Group Section.

  • 13.04.2000:    We now offer a new registration form for the Millennium Meeting. You can now register without submission of an abstract (if you wish, we will send you a reminder). Just check out the updated registration page for details and got to the Online Registration.

    Another new document details the development of a signal transduction study group within the GBM. More information is available in the Study Groups Section.

  • April 2000:    Preparations for the Millennium Meeting are beginning, and since April 2nd, you can get information on the 4th Joint Meeting Signal Transduction. Registration, Abstract Submission and Hotel reservation can already be done online. Just go to the Events section.

  • January 2000:    The protocol of the General Assembly 1999 is available online (german only). Have a look at Members > General Assembly Protocol (Access restricted to STS members, in german).

  • 01.11.99:   You can now search the site for keywords. To use this feature just click on Search.

  • 18.10.99:   The final program for the 3. Joint Meeting Signal Transduction is ready. Take a look at the meeting page at Events > 3rd Joint Meeting > Program.
  • 08.10.99:   We are pleased to announce that the STS Forum has been significantly enhanced. We were not quite satisfied with the old CGI script (that more or less came "off the shelf"), especially as the handling of replys and the layout were concerned. So cbmd has provided a newly programmed set of CGI scripts to meet the standards and requirements of the STS. We hope that this step will increase the use of the forum! To see the new forum in action, go to the Forum.
  • 14.09.99:   The STS will hold its first-ever members assembly on December 3rd 1999 during the 3. Joint Meeting Signal Transduction in Berlin. Take a look at the agenda at About STS > Vollversammlung and contribute your suggestions.
  • 12.09.99:   A new area is online where job offers and vacancies are posted. Currently this is done manually but if it turns out to be useful to you and we have a certain amount of offers to post, we will change this into an automated service. Have a look at the Jobs area. Please inform STS about open positions in the field of signal transduction.
  • 07.09.99:   The registrants for the "3rd Joint Meeting" will be notified on the acceptance of their contributions for oral or poster presentation, respectively, by mid October.
  • 03.05.99:   The Members' mailinglist is fully functional and all members are automatically subscribed to the list as this will be a means to keep you informed about the STS. For further information about the mailing list please go to Members > Mailinglist (Access is restricted to members).
  • 01.03.99:   The Signal Transduction Society Website (www.sigtrans.de) is made publicly avaliable on the World Wide Web. Preparations for the online processing of membership applications and other data related the the 3rd Joint Meeting in December 1999 begin.
    In the following months, cbmd develops various so-called "back-end applications" for the STS website, including an online membership database that faciliates administration.
  • January 99:   In late December 1998, the STS decides to establish a presence in the world wide web. cb media design, the Kassel-based new media company, has been selected to plan, design and maintain this site. First prototypes are presented in February.
